- Consults with the GM Nursing concerning clinical, administrative and professional issues and assumes operational responsibility for the area assigned.

- Directs and supervises nursing services personnel within the department in accordance with hospitals and other regulatory standards.

- Participates in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives, philosophy and mission statement.

- Demonstrate professional knowledge of current nursing trends, concepts, principles, theories and practices implemented in an acute nursing care setting.

- Oversees and evaluates the nursing care essential to the assessment, restoration, promotion and maintenance of patient's health and wellness through a system of national and international standards to achieve the objective of “best practice”

- Analyze the critique of the patient and the unit.

- Collaborates with the intensivists to ensure quality patient care

- Provides direct patient care to patients in the assigned area if required and necessary. The Nurse Manager must be able to model, mentor and be the resource staff for registered nurses in area of assignment.

- Guide Nursing supervisor to prepare work schedules, assigns personnel, adjusts staffing to provide appropriate coverage and meet the needs of the client. Evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personal actions.

- Provides monthly in-service through staff development committee and other education programs in consultation with the GM nursing and Clinical Nursing Training for assigned area.

- Inspects patient care areas daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, infection control and risk management standards, and takes corrective action or makes recommendation where violations occur in order to remedy the situation.





- Ensures accurate maintenance of patient’s medical records and confidentiality of information contain their in.

- Actively seek avenues to implement total quality management programs aimed at best practice methods within a climate of customer focus.

- Assists in the selection, training, orientation and annual performance evaluation of department personnel.

- Assists in the preparation of the departmental stock quota requirements. Makes appropriate recommendation and ensures an adequate supply of consumable and non- consumable items are available for patient care requirement through a systematic inventory and ordering process.

- Organizes, directs and/or coordinates staffing functions and activities that promotes positive team spirit and team-oriented work atmosphere in assigned areas.

- Participates actively in case presentation along with the team that enhances staff involvement which promotes team spirit in work place.

- To maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in clinical research and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Carrying out quarterly audit from respective area and present it on staff communication with action plan.

- To adopt and implement innovative nursing practices to improve existing facility

- Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards.

- Acts as a resource person to assist all patients and their family requiring information and support.

- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.

- Attends meetings as required and participates on committee as directed.

- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
