Sovereign Minds Academy is expanding its online teaching team and is looking for enthusiastic Mathematics Teachers to teach students from 40+ international countries, including young learners from different age groups and backgrounds.
If you have hands-on experience teaching Mathematics to students in Grades 1–8 and are comfortable teaching mathematical concepts in an engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate way, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- Strong working knowledge of Mathematics concepts for Grades 1–8, including arithmetic, number sense, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry, measurement, basic algebra, equations, data handling, statistics, probability, and other age-appropriate mathematical concepts.
- Ability to teach Mathematics through practical activities, problem-solving exercises, interactive questions, games, puzzles, visual explanations, and hands-on learning activities.
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics to children or young learners, preferably students from Grades 1–8.
- Familiarity with using online teaching platforms, digital whiteboards, educational tools, and interactive resources to conduct engaging Mathematics lessons.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts in a simple, structured, and age-appropriate manner.
- Ability to develop students' logical thinking, problem-solving, reasoning, numerical skills, and mathematical confidence.
- Excellent spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly with international students, including students accustomed to American English.
- Ability to make Mathematics engaging, interactive, and easy to understand for young learners.
- Comfortable working independently in an online teaching environment.
- Candidates will be assessed on their Mathematics knowledge and teaching approach during the selection process.
Technical Setup
Since classes are conducted online, you should have:
- A Windows 10 laptop or compatible Windows setup.
- Reliable, high-speed internet with a minimum upload speed of 25 Mbps.
- A working webcam.
- Wired noise-cancelling earphones/headphones.
Work Schedule
This is a flexible part-time or full-time remote opportunity.
Teachers can choose their availability based on the slots they select. Candidates should be comfortable taking classes during late-night or early-morning hours when required, particularly to accommodate students based in the United States and other international locations.
This opportunity may involve US-shift or night-shift teaching hours, depending on student demand and the availability provided by the teacher.

Selection Process
Applicants are expected to provide complete and accurate information during the application process. The application questions are an important part of the initial screening, so please make sure every required question is answered.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a 3-minute self-introduction video covering specific points shared during the selection process.
The video and application responses will be used to assess your communication skills, teaching background, Mathematics knowledge, teaching approach, and overall suitability for the role.
Candidates may also be assessed on their ability to explain Mathematics concepts in a way that is suitable, practical, interactive, and engaging for children and young learners.
Important
Please apply only if you have actual hands-on experience teaching Mathematics to children or young learners, particularly students in Grades 1–8.
This role is specifically focused on teaching Mathematics to children and young learners, so applicants should be comfortable simplifying mathematical concepts and turning them into interactive, visual, problem-solving, and student-centered learning experiences.
Applicants should ideally have practical classroom or online teaching experience rather than only having theoretical knowledge of Mathematics.
