Production Engineer / Supervisor – CNC Tube Fittings

We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer / Supervisor to manage day-to-day production activities in a tube fittings manufacturing unit having CNC turning machines.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining product quality, machine productivity, tooling efficiency and shop-floor discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily CNC production as per production schedule.
- Manage CNC Turning Machines Shopfloor and coordinate with CNC operators.
- Ensure production as per engineering drawings, process sheets and work instructions.
- Coordinate first-piece inspection and QC clearance before bulk production.
- Monitor cycle time, machine utilization, production output and downtime.
- Monitor cutting tools, inserts, drills, threading tools and tool life.
- Identify and resolve machining, tooling and process-related problems.
- Ensure proper inprocess inspection of critical features.
- Control rejection, rework and process abnormalities.
- Coordinate with QC, Stores, Maintenance.
- Ensure proper raw material, WIP and finished-product identification and traceability.
- Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, machine downtime and other production records.




- Train and guide CNC operators and shop-floor personnel.
- Maintain 5S, safety, housekeeping and discipline on the shop floor.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, CAPA, PFMEA and Control Plan activities.
- Identify opportunities for cycle-time reduction, tool-life improvement and productivity enhancement.

Required Skills

- Practical experience in CNC turning and production supervision.
- Good knowledge of CNC tooling, offsets and machining parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of Vernier, micrometer, thread gauges and other measuring instruments.
- Experience in hydraulic / tube fittings, ORFS or DIN fittings will be highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of production planning, quality control and 5S.
- Good manpower handling and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate should be hands-on and willing to work on the shop floor.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be able to independently manage day-to-day CNC production, understand machining and tooling issues, coordinate with QC for first-piece approval, monitor production performance and take corrective action on shop-floor problems.

Experience in tube fittings / hydraulic fittings manufacturing will be given preference.
