About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Garment Merchandiser to manage and coordinate the product development and production process between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of garment manufacturing, fabrics, trims, costing, and production timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Buyer Management

- Act as the main point of contact between buyers and the company.
- Understand buyer requirements, specifications, and quality expectations.
- Develop samples as per buyer guidelines and ensure timely submission.

2. Product Development

- Coordinate development of tech packs, size specs, and BOMs.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
- Ensure correct fit, construction, and design details are implemented in samples.

3. Costing & Order Execution

- Prepare cost sheets and negotiate competitive prices with vendors.
- Finalize order confirmation with buyers and prepare internal order sheets.
- Monitor pre-production approvals, production progress, and delivery deadlines.

4. Production Follow-up

- Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams.
- Ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining quality standards.
- Solve production/technical issues efficiently.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain order status reports, T&A; calendars, and WIP documentation.
- Update management regularly on order progress and potential risks.
- Handle shipping documents and coordinate with logistics for dispatch.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years + of experience as a Garment Merchandiser (export/import/domestic).
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and fabrics.
- Excellent communication skills and buyer handling abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and T&A; planning.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with international buyers.
- Knowledge of quality systems and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Candidate must have a positive attitude in adapting to new ideas, fashion and working with team to fulfil Export Orders on time.

Language compulsion: English and Hindi.
