Job Title: Accounts Intern – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join our finance and accounts team in Trivandrum. This internship offers practical exposure to accounting processes within the logistics and freight-forwarding industry, including invoicing, payment tracking, reconciliation, accounts documentation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with day-to-day accounting and finance activities.
- Prepare and process customer invoices and supporting documents.
- Record and verify purchase invoices, expenses, and other accounting transactions.
- Monitor customer payments and maintain accounts receivable records.
- Assist with payment follow-ups and outstanding invoice tracking.
- Support bank, customer, and supplier account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing Statements of Account (SOA) and payment reports.
- Verify invoices against shipment, operational, and supporting documents.
- Assist with VAT-related documentation and basic compliance activities.
- Update accounting data in ERP/accounting systems and maintain Excel reports.
- Coordinate with the Operations and other internal teams for billing and payment-related requirements.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of reports.
- Perform other accounting, finance, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Eligibility





- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Final-year students or recent graduates may apply.
- Candidates must be based in Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a rapid-paced business environment.

Preferred Qualification

- Candidates with knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, ERP/accounting software, or similar platforms will be given preference.
- Candidates with basic knowledge of VAT/GST and accounting compliance will be an advantage.
- Prior internship or academic exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, or reconciliation will be an added advantage.
