JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE MANAGER

Position: Store Manager
Salary: ₹28,000 TO 32000 per month

Job Purpose

To manage the complete store operations for fabrics, trims, accessories, packing materials and finished garments, ensuring accurate inventory, proper documentation and timely availability of materials for production and dispatch. These responsibilities are consistent with current garment-store roles, which emphasize inward/outward control, stock reconciliation, material issuance, FIFO and coordination with production.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily inward and outward movement of fabrics, trims, accessories and finished garments.
- Check incoming materials against PO, challan and approved documents.
- Maintain accurate physical and system-wise stock records.
- Issue materials to production as per approved requirements/requisitions.
- Maintain fabric, trims, accessories and finished-goods stock category-wise and lot-wise.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, storage and identification of all materials.
- Follow FIFO wherever applicable.
- Monitor shortages, excess stock, damaged materials and slow-moving items.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Merchandising,



Quality and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements.
- Supervise store staff and allocate daily work.
- Maintain GRNs, issue slips, stock registers and other store documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock/inventory reports for management.
- Control material wastage, loss and unauthorized movement.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and discipline in the store.
- Support stock audits and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure smooth and timely dispatch of finished garments.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of company materials and records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate / Diploma preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in Store/Inventory Management, preferably in a high-fashion garment or export house.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories and garment materials.
- Good command of MS Excel and inventory/ERP software.
- Strong stock-control and documentation skills.
- Good team-handling and coordination abilities.
- Honest, responsible, organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work under production deadlines.

Salary

₹32,000/- per month

Reporting To: Production Manager / Management

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
