ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Meclusions Studio is building a new digital streaming and content platform dedicated to presenting the stories, culture, traditions, people and lesser-explored narratives of Bharat through high-quality original digital content.

We are looking for a passionate, creative and hungry Video Editor who wants to get genuine experience working on original shows and digital productions.

Our creative team brings 25+ years of experience across Indian Television, Film, Animation, VFX and Digital Media.

This is an opportunity for a young editor who wants to move beyond simply cutting reels and YouTube videos and learn how professional television/digital content is actually edited and delivered.

YOUR ROLE

You will work closely with the Director / Creative Team to edit:

- Studio-based shows and interviews
- Anchor-led programs
- Documentaries and cultural programming
- Digital entertainment content
- Promotional videos and trailers
- YouTube / social-media versions of original programs
- Short-form clips and highlights from longer productions

You will be expected to understand the story, emotion, pacing and purpose of every edit, rather than simply assembling clips.

MOTION GRAPHICS — AN IMPORTANT PART OF THIS ROLE

We are looking for an Editor who can also handle basic-to-moderate Motion Graphics requirements.

This may include:

- Lower thirds
- Name / designation supers
- Captions and subtitles
- Animated text
- Logos and branding
- Simple transitions
- Basic infographic animation
- Maps, icons and visual callouts
- Intro / outro graphics
- Social-media graphics
- Basic compositing and screen replacements

Therefore, Adobe After Effects knowledge will be a strong advantage.

You do not need to be a high-end Broadcast Motion Designer.

We are looking for an Editor who can independently handle the everyday graphics required to make our shows look polished and professional.

SOFTWARE SKILLS

Essential:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve (We prefer this)




- Solid editing fundamentals
- Basic AI knowledge

Highly Preferred:

- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Photoshop / basic graphic preparation

Knowledge of AI usage in Editing, Generative AI, Audition or other editing tools is an added advantage.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD EDITOR FOR US?

We are looking for someone who understands:

Storytelling → Pacing → Continuity → Music → Sound → Emotion → Visual Rhythm

You should know when to:

- Hold a shot
- Cut quickly
- Let a moment breathe
- Use a reaction shot
- Create a meaningful montage
- Remove unnecessary footage
- Build energy through music and pacing

Technical software knowledge alone is not enough.

We want an Editor with a creative eye.

This vacancy is strictly for candidates currently based in Mumbai / Mumbai Metropolitan Region. (Anyone from outside must be prepared to relocate to Mumbai this isn't a remote job offering at all)

Compensation will be discussed based on experience, practical editing ability, portfolio and overall skillset.

We are specifically looking for Fresher to Junior-level talent who wants to build a serious career in editing and digital production.
