Job Summary

Gold Coins Club & Resort is seeking a passionate and skilled South Indian Commis Chef (Commis 2 / Commis 3) to join our culinary team. You will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes for our resort guests, buffet setups, and banquet events while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Mise en Place & Preparation: Prepare daily ingredients (cutting, grinding batters, marinating, and portioning) for South Indian breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.
- Cooking Support: Prepare authentic South Indian specialties including dosas, idlis, vadas, curries, biryanis, and rice preparations under the supervision of the Demi Chef de Partie / Chef de Partie.
- Buffet & Banquets: Assist in managing live counters during breakfast buffets and catering for resort events or banquets.
- Kitchen Hygiene & Safety: Maintain clean and sanitized workstations, tools, and kitchen equipment following FSSAI and resort hygiene standards.
- Inventory & Storage: Assist in proper labeling, stock rotation (FIFO),



and storage of ingredients to minimize food waste.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Food Production (or relevant vocational training).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in South Indian cuisine at a resort, hotel, or high-volume restaurant (Fresh graduates with internship experience in South Indian kitchen operations may be considered for Commis 3).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of South Indian culinary techniques, ingredient preparation, speed in live kitchen setups, and teamwork.
- Attributes: Punctual, adaptable to resort operations, and willing to work in shifts.
