About us

Rajaswi Chemical has manufactured pigment pastes and acrylic binders for the textile industry since 1984, operating from Ahmedabad and Rajasthan. We are a promoter-led business entering a period of planned technical expansion, including the establishment of an in-house R&D; and quality laboratory.

The role

We are looking for a Technical Director to build and lead our technical function from the ground up. This is a senior appointment reporting directly to the Director. You will define our laboratory, our product development roadmap, and our quality systems — and then run them.

This suits someone who has led an R&D; or technical function and wants ownership rather than a seat in a large structure.

Responsibilities

- Specify, commission and manage the company's R&D; and QC laboratory, including equipment selection, layout and budget
- Own the product portfolio: improve existing pigment paste and acrylic binder grades, and develop recent ones
- Establish formulation standards, batch documentation, testing protocols and QC specifications
- Lead scale-up from laboratory to plant, including reactor process parameters and troubleshooting




- Build and mentor a small technical team
- Advise the Director on technology direction, capital equipment and manufacturing improvement
- Support customers on technical queries and application issues
- Guide the company toward relevant industry certifications and compliance standards

Requirements

- MSc or PhD in Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years in specialty chemicals, with substantial experience in emulsion polymerisation
- Proven hands-on capability in acrylic binder or polymer dispersion formulation
- Demonstrated experience taking a formulation from bench to plant scale
- Experience setting up or substantially upgrading a laboratory is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of textile wet processing and pigment printing is an advantage
- Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, promoter-led environment
