We are launching a new Lighthouse Centre in Gaya, and we're looking for a Centre Head who wants to be part of building it from the beginning.

Your Mission: Build the Lighthouse in Gaya

As the Centre Head, you will be the anchor of the new Gaya Centre.

You'll bring together:

Community + Young People + Team + Government + Employers + Partners

Your role will be to establish the centre, create a strong operating rhythm, build a high-performing team, develop the local ecosystem, and ensure that young people get meaningful pathways towards skills, employment, and sustainable livelihoods.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable with building before optimising.

What You Will Build & Lead

Build the Centre From the Ground Up

As this is a new centre, you'll play a critical role in establishing how Lighthouse operates in Gaya.

You will:

- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Lighthouse Program.
- Establish strong centre-level systems, processes, and operating rhythms.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of program activities.
- Set up effective ways of tracking learner participation, completion, and employment outcomes.
- Identify challenges early and build solutions that enable the centre to scale.
- Create a centre culture that is safe, inclusive, welcoming, and youth-centric.

Turn Learning Into Livelihoods

The goal isn't simply to train young people.

It's to help them move towards meaningful employment and sustainable livelihoods.

You will:

- Support employment and placement opportunities for learners.
- Coordinate interview schedules and ensure students are prepared for recruitment processes.
- Organise mock interviews, employer interactions, and career guidance sessions.
- Build relationships with local employers and understand their talent requirements.
- Identify new employment opportunities for Lighthouse learners.
- Work closely with the Placement Manager to improve placement outcomes.





Build a High-Performing Team

A new centre needs people who believe in the mission and know how to execute.

You'll lead a team of approximately 4–7 members and:

- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop team members as required.
- Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations.
- Lead regular team meetings and monthly planning.
- Monitor performance, productivity, and outcomes.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback.
- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, learning, and accountability.
- Help team members grow into stronger leaders.

The centre's success will be a reflection of the team you build.

Build Gaya's Local Ecosystem

A new Lighthouse Centre cannot succeed alone.

You will build relationships with:

- Government departments and local administration.
- Community leaders.
- NGOs and community organisations.
- Corporates and CSR partners.
- Local employers and industry networks.
- Skilling and training partners.
- Volunteers and other ecosystem stakeholders.

You will represent Lighthouse in community meetings, stakeholder discussions, local events, government engagements, and partnership conversations.

Your ability to build credibility and trust locally will be critical to the centre's success.

Help the Community Discover Lighthouse

As a new centre, awareness and community trust will be especially important.

You will work with the wider team to:

- Strengthen community outreach and youth mobilisation.
- Build awareness of Lighthouse programs.
- Develop referral networks and local partnerships.
- Understand the aspirations and needs of young people in the community.
- Create robust connections between the centre and the communities it serves.

Create a Centre Young People Want to Be In

- Ensure smooth day-to-day centre operations.
- Oversee administrative activities, infrastructure, and centre assets.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and learner-friendly environment.
- Ensure that centre processes support a positive learner experience.
- Identify operational challenges and ensure timely resolution.

Build a Culture of Data & Learning

- Ensure accurate maintenance of learner records and program data.
- Monitor centre-level performance and key outcomes.
- Submit timely and accurate reports.
- Ensure effective use of Lighthouse technology platforms and MIS systems.
- Use data and field insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build systems that make the centre increasingly efficient and scalable.

Who Are We Looking For?Education

- Master's degree preferred.
- MSW or a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Experience

- 4–8 years of experience in program implementation, skilling, livelihoods, education, youth development, community development, or the social sector.
- Experience managing training centres,



community-based programs, or multi-stakeholder initiatives preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
