About the Role

The JSS EV Centre of Excellence is seeking a passionate and technically proficient EV Technical Trainer & Program Engineer to deliver industry-oriented training programs in Electric Vehicle technologies. The candidate will mentor engineering students, faculty, and industry professionals while contributing to curriculum development, laboratory management, and industry collaboration initiatives.

This role requires a solid blend of technical expertise, practical implementation experience, and teaching capability to prepare learners for careers in the rapidly evolving electric mobility sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Training

- Deliver classroom and laboratory sessions for EV certification programs
- Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma students, and industry professionals
- Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions using EV hardware and software platforms
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, quizzes, and practical assessments
- Evaluate student performance and mentor capstone projects
- Support Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), FDPs, and bootcamps

Curriculum Development

Develop and continuously improve modules covering:

- Electric Vehicle Fundamentals
- EV Architecture
- Electric Powertrain
- Battery Technology
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Battery Pack Design
- Cell Balancing
- Charging Technologies
- Power Electronics
- Electric Machines
- Vehicle Control Systems
- Thermal Management
- Functional Safety Fundamentals
- Energy Management
- Vehicle Simulation
- Model-Based Design
- Embedded Systems for EV
- Diagnostics
- CAN Communication
- Automotive Standards
- EV Testing & Validation





Software Training

Train learners on:

- MATLAB & Simulink
- Simscape Electrical
- Simulink Control Design
- Stateflow
- Dymola
- 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
- No Magic (preferred)
- CAN tools (preferred)

Laboratory Responsibilities

- Maintain EV laboratory equipment
- Manage batteries and charging systems safely
- Demonstrate hardware experiments
- Prepare laboratory manuals
- Monitor consumables and equipment
- Coordinate procurement requirements

Student Development

- Mentor student projects
- Guide hackathons
- Conduct technical clubs
- Support internships
- Prepare students for technical interviews
- Organize innovation challenges

Industry Engagement

- Deliver customized corporate training programs
- Conduct faculty development programs
- Support industry workshops
- Participate in seminars and conferences
- Assist in developing new industry partnerships

EducationEssential

- B.E./B.Tech in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Automobile Engineering

Preferred

- M.Tech/MS in Electric Mobility, Automotive Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, Energy Systems, or related fields

ExperienceMinimum

2–5 years in one or more of the following:

- Electric Vehicle industry
- Automotive R&D;
- EV startups
- Technical training
- Academic teaching
- Product development
- Powertrain engineering

Preferred

Candidates with experience at EV OEMs,



Tier-1 suppliers, automotive software companies, or engineering service organizations.

- Exposure to industry tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, CATIA, and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
- Relevant certifications in EV technologies, battery systems, embedded systems, or automotive software

For the JSS EV CoE, this profile will support not only student teaching but also faculty development, corporate training, curriculum evolution, and industry engagement, making it a strong foundational technical hire for the Centre of Excellence.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
