Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and curious Intern - Web Designer to join our team on a 3-month internship, with the possibility of full-time conversion based on performance and business requirements.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about UI/UX design and eager to learn how thoughtful design comes together with modern, AI-assisted development. You'll get hands-on exposure to the full design process — from wireframing and user flows through to mockups and landing pages — while also learning how tools like Cursor and Lovable are changing how designs get built. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a strong, practical foundation in both design and vibe coding.

Key Responsibilities

UI/UX & Visual Design

- Support the creation of wireframing, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual design for websites, landing pages, and web assets.
- Apply core principles of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy to produce clean, engaging designs.
- Help design and maintain responsive design layouts that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Contribute to and follow existing design systems and component libraries to keep designs consistent with brand guidelines.
- Assist with structuring page layouts and site flow using sound information architecture.

Research & Usability

- Support basic user research and usability testing activities to help the team understand user needs and pain points.
- Help identify usability issues and suggest design improvements based on findings.
- Learn to apply interaction design principles to make experiences more intuitive.

AI-Assisted Development & Rapid Prototyping

- Get hands-on exposure to AI-assisted development and vibe coding using tools like Cursor and Lovable to quickly bring design concepts to life.
- Practice prompt engineering to generate and iterate on layouts, components, and prototypes efficiently.
- Use no-code/low-code tools and rapid prototyping approaches to support rapid iteration on design ideas.
- Learn basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to better understand how designs translate into working web pages.

Handoff, QA & Collaboration

- Support design-to-code handoff by preparing clear specs, assets, and documentation for developers.
- Assist with cross-browser testing to confirm designs display correctly and consistently.
- Help apply accessibility (WCAG) guidelines to make designs more inclusive.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and marketing team members, and take part in design reviews and feedback sessions.
- Use tools such as Canva for quick visual assets and supporting marketing/design needs.

Continuous Learning

- Stay curious about emerging design trends, UX methodologies, accessibility standards, and AI-assisted design and development tools.
- Contribute ideas to improve design processes and workflow efficiency.

Required Skills

- Strong interest in UI/UX design, web design, or a related field, with some coursework, personal projects,

or freelance work to show for it.
- Basic understanding of responsive design and mobile-first thinking.
- Foundational skills in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Familiarity with at least one design tool such as Figma, Adobe XD, Canva, or similar.
- Willingness to learn HTML, CSS, and modern AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Lovable.
- Good communication skills and openness to feedback.
- Ability to manage time across multiple small tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and genuine care about producing polished work.

Preferred Skills

- Some exposure to HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with vibe coding, prompt engineering, or no-code/low-code tools.
- Basic understanding of user research, usability testing, or user flows.
- Awareness of accessibility (WCAG) standards and inclusive design practices.
- Interest in design systems or component libraries.
- Any personal or academic projects involving landing pages, mockups, or prototypes.

Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree, diploma, or certification in Graphic Design, Web Design, UI/UX Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- Equivalent self-taught experience, professional certifications, or bootcamp training will also be considered.
- Candidates should share a portfolio or samples of relevant design work, even if from coursework or personal projects.

What We Offer

- Hands-on exposure to modern UI/UX design and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced designers and developers.
- Practical experience with tools like Cursor, Lovable, and Canva.
- A collaborative, fast-paced work workplace.
- Potential conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
