### Mobile Tech Lead – Android

**Grade:** C1

### Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **Mobile Tech Lead (Android)** to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable Android applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Android development expertise with leadership capabilities to guide engineering teams, drive technical decisions, and ensure high-quality mobile solutions aligned with business objectives.

### Key Responsibilities

**Technical Leadership**

* Define and drive the Android architecture strategy and technical roadmap.

* Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable Android applications.

* Establish coding standards, best practices, and software engineering principles.

* Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews.

* Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools.

**Application Development**

* Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

* Build reusable components and libraries.

* Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

* Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.

* Ensure compatibility across multiple Android devices and OS versions.

**Team Leadership & Mentoring**

* Lead, mentor, and coach Android developers.

* Support technical problem-solving and skill development.

* Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

* Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

**Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management**

* Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, QA, and business stakeholders.

* Participate in sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

* Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

* Provide technical guidance and project status updates.

### Required Technical Skills

**Android Development**

* Strong expertise in **Kotlin and Java**.

* Extensive experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.





* Hands-on experience with **Jetpack Compose** and traditional Android UI frameworks.

* Strong understanding of Material Design principles.

* Experience with Android Architecture Components.

**Architecture & Design Patterns**

* Expertise in **MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture, and modular architecture**.

* Strong knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as **Hilt or Dagger**.

* Experience designing scalable and maintainable mobile architectures.

**APIs & Integration**

* RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.

* JSON parsing and network libraries such as **Retrofit and OkHttp**.

* Firebase and third-party SDK integrations.

**Testing & Quality**

* JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks.

* Robust focus on code quality, maintainability, and test coverage.

* Familiarity with SonarQube and static code analysis tools.

**DevOps & CI/CD**

* Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

* CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

* Play Store deployment and release management.

* Proven experience leading Android development teams.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

* Ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

* Experience managing technical debt and platform modernization initiatives.

### Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Flutter or React Native.

* Knowledge of mobile security best practices and OWASP Mobile standards.

* Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

* Exposure to Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and AppDynamics.

* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

### Education

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
