AutoCAD Electrical Design Engineer

Position: AutoCAD Electrical Design Engineer

Experience: 2–5 Years Job

Location: Malleswaram, Bangalore (Candidates should be willing to travel to client locations based on project requirements.)

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

· Design electrical control panels, power distribution systems, and PLC I/O schematics.

· Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and terminal plans.

· Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.

· Coordinate with mechanical, automation, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.

· Update drawings based on customer comments and engineering revisions.

· Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and company design practices.

· Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities whenever required.

Required Skills

· Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical.





· Good knowledge of electrical schematic design and drafting.

· Experience in PLC control panels, MCC panels, and industrial automation systems.

· Understanding of electrical components, protection devices, sensors, VFDs, relays, and control circuits.

· Knowledge of cable sizing, terminal planning, and panel layout.

· Ability to interpret customer specifications and prepare engineering documentation.

· Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

· Exposure to PLCs such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Schneider.

· Knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8 is an added advantage.

· Familiarity with IEC, IS, or other relevant electrical design standards.

· Experience in manufacturing, automation, or special-purpose machine (SPM) projects is preferred.
