Job Description – Paint Shop Manager Position: Paint Shop Manager Industry: Automotive / Auto Components Manufacturing Location: Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab Department: Paint Shop / Production Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Paint Shop Manager to manage and control the complete paint shop operations, ensuring high-quality output, optimum productivity, minimum rejection, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day paint shop production and manpower. - Plan production as per customer requirements and dispatch schedules. - Control painting processes such as pre-treatment, powder coating, liquid painting, baking/curing and finishing. - Monitor paint quality, coating thickness, adhesion, colour matching and surface finish. - Reduce rejection, rework, paint consumption and process losses. - Ensure proper maintenance and efficient utilization of paint shop equipment. - Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM and continuous improvement. - Coordinate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and Dispatch departments. - Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements and customer-specific standards. - Monitor process parameters and maintain proper production and quality records. - Ensure proper handling and storage of paints,



chemicals and other consumables. - Maintain workplace safety and ensure compliance with EHS requirements. - Train and develop operators and supervisors. - Conduct root-cause analysis and implement CAPA for quality issues. - Monitor KPIs including productivity, rejection, rework, paint consumption, OEE and on-time production. Qualification - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Production or related engineering discipline. Experience - 8–15 years of relevant experience in automotive / auto-component paint shop operations. - Experience in powder coating, liquid painting, pre-treatment and paint shop process control preferred. - Robust knowledge of quality systems and automotive manufacturing processes. Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
