Experience: 3+ years post-qualification preferred

About Metaboliq
Metaboliq delivers specialized, physician-led metabolic care and medical obesity management.
We provide doctors with diagnostic infrastructure, continuous monitoring platforms, and a
multidisciplinary support layer (dietitians, health coaches, care coordinators), allowing
physicians to deliver precise, high-touch metabolic care digitally.
Role Overview
We are looking for consulting Endocrinologists and MD Physicians with active practices in
metabolic health and obesity management to join our elite clinical care network. In this role, you
will conduct video teleconsultations for patients enrolled in Metaboliq’s metabolic and
weight-management programs.
You will retain complete, independent clinical discretion over diagnosis, patient evaluation,
laboratory interpretation, and medical prescriptions (including GLP-1 therapies where indicated),
supported by longitudinal lifestyle data and dedicated care teams.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Comprehensive Metabolic & Obesity Teleconsultations
● Conduct scheduled, structured video consultations with patients entering or progressing
through Metaboliq programs.
● Review detailed patient intake history, lifestyle context, comorbidities, concurrent
medications, and previous weight-loss attempts.
● Evaluate diagnostic blood panels (glycemic markers, insulin resistance, lipid profiles,
hepatic/renal function, hormonal screens) to identify root metabolic drivers.
2. Independent Clinical Treatment Decisions & Prescribing
● Determine patient eligibility for medical weight-loss pathways based on clinical
indications, BMI thresholds, metabolic comorbidities, and contraindications.
● Exercise full independent judgment when prescribing medical therapies—including
evidence-based anti-obesity medications (such as GLP-1 receptor agonists)—tailoring
initiation dosages, titration cadences, and supportive medications.
● Clearly explain treatment rationale, expected outcomes, and potential side effects
directly to the patient during consultation.
3. Longitudinal Monitoring & Clinical Reviews
● Conduct scheduled digital follow-up consultations to evaluate therapeutic response,
weight trajectories, glycemic control, and metabolic biomarker improvements.
● Monitor medication tolerability, proactively titrate dosages, and adjust or discontinue
treatment based on patient response and clinical criteria.
● Review continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) trends and body composition markers to
calibrate treatment plans.
4. Adverse Event Triage & Clinical Documentation
● Identify, manage, and document adverse reactions, tolerability challenges, or medical
red flags in accordance with established safety guidelines.
● Direct patient care escalations where physical intervention, in-person clinical
examinations, or emergency hospital evaluation is warranted.
● Maintain complete, accurate, and prompt electronic medical records (EMR) following
every consultation.
Key Requirements
Qualifications:
● Primary / Preferred: MBBS + MD (Internal Medicine) + DM / DNB in Endocrinology.
● Secondary / Considered: MBBS + MD (Internal Medicine) / Diabetology with
demonstrated, extensive clinical practice in obesity medicine and metabolic therapeutics.
● Valid, active medical license registered with the relevant State Medical Council or
National Medical Commission (NMC).
Clinical Experience & Skills:
● Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience post-MD/DM with active exposure to obesity
management, diabetes care, and metabolic syndrome.
● Direct hands-on experience initiating and monitoring contemporary GLP-1 receptor agonist
therapies and managing associated gastrointestinal or metabolic tolerability profiles.
● Comfort and proficiency in delivering high-quality, empathetic teleconsultations over
secure video platforms.
● Clear, reassuring bedside manner with the ability to communicate complex metabolic
concepts to patients simply and compassionately.
● Adherence to evidence-based medical guidelines and medical ethics.
