Role Description The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children with diverse developmental needs, ensuring individualized treatment plans that support functional independence and participation in daily activities. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing intervention plans targeting fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school readiness, and documenting progress in a explicit and timely manner. The role involves collaborating closely with families, teachers, and other therapists to create integrated strategies that support children across home, school,
and community environments. The Senior Occupational Therapist will mentor junior therapists, contribute to program development, and participate in parent education and awareness initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, with demonstrated expertise in pediatric assessment and intervention.
- Relevant knowledge in Pediatrics and child development to address a range of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs.
- Understanding of Rehabilitation principles, including functional goal setting, progression of therapy, and interdisciplinary care.
- Excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution; appropriate registration or licensure as required.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Ability to design individualized therapy programs, use evidence-based interventions, and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Commitment to inclusive, family-centered care, with strong empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
- Willingness to participate in parent training, workshops, and community awareness initiatives related to child development and mental health.
