ABOUT POLY & BARK
Poly & Bark is on a mission to make beautifully designed furniture accessible to everyone — without the retail markup. We cut out the middlemen, showrooms, and layers of traditional furniture retail that drive up cost, and instead work directly with the manufacturing partners behind our products. That means better quality, better prices, and a supply chain we build and run ourselves.
What started as a small assortment of contemporary furniture has grown into a full home brand trusted by customers across the country. We move fast, question the way furniture retail has always worked, and build better systems instead of settling for outdated ones.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager based in India to own our supply and demand planning and drive our in-stock rate. You'll work closely with our Sourcing and Product Development teams, manage our purchasing team, and dig into the data — but this isn't a role where you sit behind a dashboard. You'll be in the details with our factories on raw materials and production timing, catching problems before they become stockouts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own supply and demand planning to drive our in-stock rate
- Manage and develop our purchasing team
- Partner closely with Sourcing and Product Development on recent launches, replenishment, and forecasting
- Build and maintain demand forecasts across our SKU catalog — pulling from sales history, promotions, seasonality, and upcoming launches — and turn them into supply plans our factories can execute against
- Dig into sales, inventory, and production data to catch trends before they turn into stockouts or excess inventory
- Work directly with factories on raw material planning and lead times, not just finished goods
- Prepare and place purchase orders with our overseas factories,
and track production status to keep everything shipping on time
- Allocate purchase order quantities and coordinate container and shipment plans with our logistics partners to keep inventory balanced across our network
- Build and maintain tools and dashboards to track in-stock rate, fill rate, inventory turns, lead time, and purchasing performance
- Own a regular reporting cadence on these KPIs, with clear, actionable takeaways — not just numbers
- Proactively flag and resolve supply chain risks — raw material shortages, factory delays, capacity constraints
-
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Direct, hands-on experience in supply chain and purchasing — required, not optional
- Proven experience managing a purchasing team
- Experience building demand forecasts and supply plans for a fast-growing, multi-SKU catalog
- Strong data analytics skills — comfortable in Excel and SQL at minimum; coding knowledge (Python, R, or similar) and BI/dashboard tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) are a big plus
- Not just a data analyst — you need to be proactive, get in front of problems, and work directly with factories on raw materials and production, not only analyze data after the fact
- Experience working closely with sourcing and product development teams
- Comfortable placing and tracking purchase orders with overseas factories, and coordinating container and shipment plans with logistics partners
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end
-
WHY POLY & BARK
Joining Poly & Bark means real ownership over how furniture gets from factory to customer — no bureaucracy, no red tape, just a small team that moves fast and builds something better. You'll help shape our supply chain as we grow.
