Position Details

- Contract Duration: Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Developer experienced in building scalable APIs with FastAPI. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and MQTT-based communication.

In this role, you will develop high-performance backend services, integrate IoT devices, manage time-series data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases for high-performance applications.
- Work with InfluxDB for storing and querying time-series data.
- Implement MQTT-based communication for IoT devices and real-time messaging.
- Integrate backend services with third-party APIs and applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams.

Required Skills




- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Experience with InfluxDB or other time-series databases.
- Working knowledge of MQTT protocol and MQTT brokers (e.g., Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ).
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Understanding of Docker and containerized deployments.
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Celery and Redis.
- Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Understanding of IoT architectures and edge device communication.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
