This includes screening and management of hypertension and diabetes (men and women aged 30 years and above), antenatal and postnatal care,



and home-based newborn care and children below five years of age.Role SummaryThe Medical Officer will be based in Kalchini and provide full-time, doctor-led primary healthcare across the two fixed clinics and weekly outreach camps that anchor the Integrated Community Health Program. Working under the supervision of President, FIH and in coordination with visiting specialists, the doctor is the primary clinical point of contact for consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral for the project's beneficiary population.Key Responsibilities• Provide clinical consultations at the two fixed, doctor-led primary healthcare clinics operating five days a week across the two Gram Panchayats• Conduct one outreach camp per week in remote project villages.• Diagnose, and manage non-communicable diseases (hypertension and diabetes) among adults aged 30 years and above.• Provide antenatal and postnatal check-ups and counselling for high-risk pregnancy (HRP) women.• Conduct growth monitoring, nutrition counselling, and immunisation-related check-ups for children under 5 years• Identify and refer patients requiring specialist consultation or higher-level care, and coordinate with visiting Specialist Doctors (Diabetologist, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician)



on scheduling and case management• Ensure referred patients are tracked through to treatment completion, working with Community Health Workers and Clinic & Camp Coordinators on follow-up• Conduct monthly follow-up of high-risk patients, pregnant women, newborns, and NCD cases identified through door-to-door outreach and clinic visits• Guide and supervise Community Health Workers on screening protocols, danger-sign identification, and referral criteria• Liaise with local government health functionaries (ASHAs, ANMs, AWWs) and block-level health administration, including the Block Medical Officer of Health (BMOH), to strengthen referral pathways and align with government NCD/MCH guidelines• Participate in indent, requisition, and verification of medicine stock required for clinics and camps• Report clinical activity, caseload, and outcomes to the Project Manager as part of the program's monthly operational reportingQualifications & Experience• Min. qualification - MBBS from a recognised medical institution, with a valid registration to practise in India.
