What you will own

1. Business Finance & Unit Economics

/n

/n
- Decide where the company should invest money for the best returns.
/n
- Understand which markets/businesses are profitable and which are not.
/n
- Improve margins across the business.
/n
- Build processes to prevent margin leakage.
/n
- Create the overall finance strategy and build a strong finance team.
/n

/n

2. Decision Support

/n

/n
- Work closely with the Founder and business leaders.
/n
- Help them make decisions on:
/n
- Recent market entry
/n
- Inventory purchases
/n
- Discounting
/n
- Pricing
/n
- Brand spending
/n
- Build financial models that guide these decisions.
/n

/n

3. Margin & Leakage

/n

/n
- Identify where the company is losing money.
/n
- Examples: cancellations, no-shows, supplier penalties, refunds, excess discounting, forex losses and uncollected commissions.
/n
- Improve unit economics and reduce financial losses.
/n

/n

4. Cash, Treasury & Working Capital

/n

/n
- Own the 13-week cash flow forecast.
/n
- Manage working capital,



supplier payments and customer advances.
/n
- Handle multi-currency exposure and hedging.
/n
- Improve corporate collections and reduce receivable days.
/n

/n

5. FP&A;

/n

/n
- Own annual planning and financial forecasts.
/n
- Track actual performance vs plan.
/n
- Explain why numbers are changing.
/n
- Improve forecast accuracy.
/n

/n

6. Controllership & Compliance

/n

/n
- Ensure smooth monthly closing.
/n
- Manage reconciliations across high transaction volumes.
/n
- Oversee GST, TCS, TDS, audits and statutory compliance.
/n

/n

7. Build an Efficient Finance Team

/n

/n
- Lead the existing finance team.
/n
- Restructure and improve the team as the business grows.
/n
- The expectation is to increase efficiency and not keep increasing finance headcount with business growth.
/n
