The role covers day-to-day EDI operations, trading partner support, and a documentation/assessment component aimed at evaluating a future migration to a modern integration platform. Heavy hands-on month one, tapering to ongoing part-time support. Key Responsibilities Administer and support in production Review, modify,



and test EDI maps Onboard new trading partners and troubleshoot failed transactions Support Open Text VAN connectivity and resolve interchange issues Maintain FTP/SFTP communication setups and certificates Analyze existing customer and vendor integrations end to end Document custom business rules and transaction processing logic Assess migration considerations for moving to a modern integration platform Must-Haves IBM i Series / AS400 experience — 7.5 environment knowledge EDI mapping and modification experience (X12 transaction sets)Trading partner onboarding and production support Open Text VAN connectivity FTP/SFTP setup and troubleshooting Robust documentation skills — must be able to write clear technical docs for handoff Nice-to-Haves RPG / CL exposure on i Series Experience migrating legacy EDI off to Sterling B2 B, Cleo, Boomi, or similar Distribution, wholesale, or supply chain domain background EDIFACT in addition to X12
