Driver – Job Description (SHEOWS)

About the role

SHEOWS is looking for a responsible, safety-conscious driver to support daily operations — ferrying staff, transporting elderly residents for medical visits, and handling errands and material pickups. This is a role that matters: our residents depend on safe, comfortable transport, often on short notice.

What you'll do

- Drive staff, elderly residents, and visitors safely to appointments, events, and outreach visits
- Assist elderly passengers with getting in/out of the vehicle when needed
- Maintain the vehicle — routine cleaning, checking fuel, tyre pressure, and basic upkeep
- Keep a log of trips, fuel usage, and maintenance
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly




- Follow traffic rules and organizational safety protocols at all times
- Run errands (documents, supplies, medicines) as needed

What we're looking for

- Valid commercial/LMV driving license with a clean driving record
- 2+ years of driving experience (experience with elderly or patient transport is a plus)
- Familiarity with Gurgaon/Delhi NCR routes
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Patient, courteous manner — especially key when assisting elderly passengers
- Punctual and dependable
- knowledge of driving EV cars

Good to have

- First-aid awareness
- Experience working with an NGO or care facility
