Role Description The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures according to established clinical protocols.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring infection control and safety standards are consistently followed. The role involves educating patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and basic health practices, while offering respectful and empathetic support.

The Staff

Nurse will participate in shift handovers, emergency response,



and routine ward activities as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Mother Teresa Health Centre in Thanjavur.

Qualifications

- Recognized nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and valid nursing registration as required by local regulations.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic emergency management.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation, follow hospital protocols, and adhere to infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated compassion, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, patient-centered care.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, adapt to a rapid-paced environment, and respond to urgent clinical situations.
- Previous experience in a hospital or community health setting in India is an advantage but not mandatory for motivated early-career candidates.
