Role Description The Steward role at CALCUTTA 64 is a full time, on-site position based in Kharagpur. The Steward will support daily cafe operations, including preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness of service areas, and ensuring tables and counters are properly set and organized.

This role involves greeting guests, taking orders, coordinating with kitchen staff, and providing courteous, efficient customer service throughout each visit. The Steward will follow hygiene and safety standards, assist with inventory of service items,



and participate in basic training activities to maintain consistent service quality. The position requires working flexible shifts, collaborating with team members, and upholding the welcoming and idea-driven atmosphere of the cafe.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Effective Communication skills to interact clearly with guests and coordinate with team members.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, including basic menu understanding and presentation standards.
- Experience or willingness to learn in Food Service operations, including maintaining hygiene and safety protocols.
- Ability to participate in Training activities and apply feedback to improve performance.
- Basic organizational and multitasking abilities to manage orders, service areas, and time efficiently.
- Prior experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Availability for full-time, shift-based work, including weekends and holidays as needed.
