Responsibilities Software engineer- Test :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web, API, backend, and/or mobile applications.
- Develop high-quality automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze product requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential quality risks.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product managers, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build reusable automation components and libraries to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
- Develop automated tests for REST APIs, microservices, databases, and distributed systems.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.
- Work with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and containerized testing environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
- Experience with test reporting and monitoring frameworks.
- Understanding of test automation architecture and framework design.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing or contemporary quality engineering practices is a plus.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation reliability, execution time, and overall engineering productivity.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code follows software engineering best practices.
- Contribute to performance, reliability, scalability, and security testing where required.
- Support release validation and production-quality verification.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce relevant testing tools, frameworks, and practices to improve the overall quality engineering process.
