Store Manager
Company: Nexus Automation
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Experience: 5–6 Years
Industry: Industrial Automation
About Us
Nexus Automation, founded in 2007, is a leading industrial automation company delivering PLC/SCADA systems, control panel manufacturing, servo systems, industrial robotics, and automation integration. We are an authorized dealer for global brands including Siemens, Mitsubishi , Schneider Electric, Festo and ABB, serving 1000+ clients across Panel building, Machine Manufacturing, and Factory Automation segments, with operations in Coimbatore.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Store Manager with 5–6 years of experience to manage inventory control, material issuance, vendor coordination, and stock accuracy. This role is critical to keeping our engineering, production, and panel-building teams supplied without delay.
Key Responsibilities
● Inventory Operations: Manage end-to-end inventory operations—receiving, storage, issuance, and stock reconciliation—for components, consumables, and general supplies, ensuring accuracy and traceability at every stage.
● Stock Records: Maintain accurate, real-time stock records and coordinate closely with the Production and Accounts departments to align material availability with production schedules and financial reporting.
● Indent & Vendor Coordination: Monitor stock levels against defined Re-Order Levels (ROL) and proactively raise purchase indents for low-stock or out-of-stock items; coordinate with the Purchase team and follow up with vendors (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, and other component suppliers) to ensure timely replenishment.
● Storage & Traceability: Implement and maintain a systematic bin/rack labeling and stock-tagging system, and follow FIFO (First-In-First-Out)
issuance practices to minimize obsolescence and ensure older stock is consumed first.
● Stock Audits: Conduct periodic and surprise physical stock audits/cycle counts, investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system stock, and report variances to management.
● Material Tracking: Track material issued against departmental requests with proper authorization, and maintain accurate issue/return logs for accountability.
● GRN & Invoice Processing: Process Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), conduct quality checks on incoming material against purchase orders, and manage Purchase Invoice Processing & Approval (PA)—matching vendor invoices with GRNs and POs before forwarding to Accounts for payment
● Reorder Management: Maintain minimum stock levels and ROL benchmarks for critical electrical/electronic components to prevent production stoppages, and periodically review and revise ROL based on consumption trends.
● Reporting: Generate periodic stock reports, aging analysis, and department-wise consumption summaries (Production, Accounts) for management review.
● 5S & Safety: Maintain 5S discipline (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and safety standards within the stores area, including proper handling and storage of ESD-sensitive components.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience in stores/inventory management, preferably in electrical electronics or panel manufacturing, is highly preferred
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering background preferred
- Hands-on experience with inventory/ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of GRN processing and stock reconciliation
- Proficiency in MS Excel for stock tracking and reporting
- Positive coordination skills across production departments and vendors
