Design Division Head

Job Purpose Structural design and engineering for design and build projects in their respective verticals.. Preparing all necessary drawings and documents as per the scope of the project within agreed schedule and adhering to relevant codes and standards.

Role Description No. Key Activities Financial Excellence 1

Develop probable quantity estimates for his/her projects within the department

Prepare Design and Drawings for the scope of work

Adheres to, schedule, quantity and quality.

Customer 1

Support the project in charge in presenting the structural design to the client

Work on identified newer/trending/futuristic methods and technology in designing that benefits customers and the Project

Execution Excellence 1

Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering

Formulas, Skills, And Experience 2

Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural and MEP

Direct, supervise and guide CADD person in making detailed technical plans and drawings

Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria

Devise current approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices

Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents

Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer

Prepare Bill of Quantities and Specifications for the projects

Experience & Educational Requirements Desired knowledge and experience Educational Qualifications (degree, training, or certification required)

- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Civil or Equivalent) (Mandatory)
- Masters in Structural Engineering (Preferred)

Relevant Experience (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 7-12 years of relevant work experience in design of large RRC/Steel structure of Airport, Commercial malls/ Offices/ Railway stations etc..
