Role Purpose The Team Leader – Retail Store will be responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, leading the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring adherence to company policies and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

- - Manage daily retail store operations and ensure smooth functioning.

- Ensure proper opening and closing of the store as per SOP.

- Maintain store hygiene, visual merchandising, and product availability.

- Ensure compliance with company processes, policies, and operational standards.

- Team Management

- - Lead, guide, and motivate store team members.

- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor team productivity.

- Conduct regular team briefings and communicate business priorities.

- Support onboarding and training of new team members.

- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.

- Sales &
- Business Performance

- - Drive daily, weekly, and monthly store sales targets.

- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Promote products, schemes, offers, and cross-selling opportunities.

- Track key store KPIs and take corrective actions to improve performance.





- Support the Store Manager in achieving business objectives.

- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.

- Ensure quick resolution of customer issues.

- Build strong relationships with regular customers and the local community.

- Stock Management

- - Ensure accurate stock receiving, storage, display, and movement.

- Conduct regular stock checks and support stock audits.

- Monitor stock availability and identify fast-moving/slow-moving products.

- Minimize stock loss, damage, expiry, and pilferage.

- Coordinate with the relevant teams for replenishment.

- Cash &
- Transaction Management

- - Ensure accurate billing and cash/ digital payment handling.

- Monitor daily cash reconciliation and transaction records.

- Follow company guidelines for cash handling and deposit procedures.

- Report discrepancies immediately to the reporting manager.

- Reporting &
- Compliance

- - Maintain daily store reports and operational records.

- Track sales, inventory, attendance, customer issues, and other key metrics.

- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and statutory requirements.

- Escalate operational issues and business risks to the reporting manager.

Candidate Profile

Education:

Graduate preferred; candidates with relevant retail experience may also be considered.

Experience:

- - 2–5 years of experience in retail/store operations.

- Prior experience as a Team Leader / Executive/ Senior Executive / Customer Service Supervisor/ Store Supervisor preferred.

- Experience in FMCG, retail, grocery, e-commerce, or quick-commerce will be an advantage.
