Role
- Technical Architect/Senior Technical Architect /n Location:
- Gurgaon /n /n Exp:
- 10+ years /n /n Senior Technical Architect /n CMS & Digital Experience Platforms /n /n Role Context /n We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect to provide technical leadership on an established, large-scale enterprise digital program (a running account with multi-year continuity). This is a hands-on-enough architecture leadership role: you will own the technical quality of the platform end to end, drive estimation and solutioning, and act as the guardian of non-functional requirements — security, performance, accessibility, and analytics/observability — across every release. /n The right person is equally comfortable in an architecture review, an estimation workshop, and a client-facing solution conversation, and can hold the technical line on a mature codebase while continuously modernizing it. The role is not tied to a single account — you will be expected to bring architecture leadership across engagements as needs evolve. /n /n What You'll Own /n Architecture & Solution Design /n /n
- Define and evolve the end-to-end architecture for enterprise web, mobile, and CMS-driven applications on the account.
/n
- Design composable, headless, API-first, and microservices-based solutions that are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
/n
- Establish and maintain architecture standards, design principles, and governance frameworks.
/n
- Lead technical discovery, solution roadmaps, and modernization planning.
/n /n CMS & Digital Experience Platforms /n /n
- Architect enterprise CMS/DXP solutions, including headless and hybrid patterns.
/n
- Define content modeling, personalization, localization, workflow, and publishing strategies.
/n
- Lead CMS migrations, upgrades, and modernization programs.
/n
- Integrate the CMS with CRM, CDP, DAM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
/n /n Technical Leadership & Quality /n /n
- Provide technical leadership across front-end and back-end engineering teams.
/n
- Own coding standards, architecture reviews, performance tuning, and secure-by-design practices.
/n
- Define reusable components, shared platform services, and API contracts.
/n /n Cloud & DevOps /n /n
- Architect cloud-native solutions and own CI/CD, IaC, containerization, and orchestration.
/n
- Define observability, monitoring, logging, and DR frameworks.
/n /n Estimation & Stakeholder Management /n /n
- Lead effort estimation, solution costing, and pre-sales / proposal support for the account.
/n
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
/n
- Partner with product owners, delivery managers, and client stakeholders; mentor the team.
/n /n /n Must-Have (Required): /n Experience & Leadership /n /n
- 10+ years in software engineering, with 4-5+ years as a Technical / Solution Architect.
/n
- Proven track record delivering and sustaining large-scale CMS/DXP programs, ideally on an established / running enterprise account.
/n
- Demonstrated ownership of technical quality, estimation, and stakeholder communication.
/n /n CMS / DXP /n /n
- Deep, hands-on — architecture experience with at least one enterprise CMS/DXP — e.g., Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, Optimizely, Contentful, or Drupal.
/n
- Practical experience with headless / hybrid / composable CMS patterns, content modeling, personalization, and multi-locale publishing.
/n
- Experience leading a CMS migration or modernization program.
/n /n Front-End Architecture /n /n
- Deep hands-on experience with at least one modern JS framework (React, Angular, Vue, or Next.js) and strong command of TypeScript / ES6+.
/n
- Component / design-system thinking and front-end performance ownership. (Breadth across multiple frameworks is a plus, not a requirement.)
/n /n Back-End / Services Architecture /n /n
- Depth in at least one server-side stack (.NET Core, Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python).
/n
- Robust REST and/or GraphQL API design.
/n /n Distributed & Integration Architecture /n /n
- API-first and microservices design.
/n
- Event-driven architecture, pub/sub, and messaging/streaming (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent); reactive patterns.
/n /n Cloud & DevOps /n /n
- Cloud-native architecture on at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
/n
- CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform),
and containerization/orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
/n /n Data /n /n
- Polyglot persistence — comfortable with at least one relational and one NoSQL store; able to make sound data-modeling and caching decisions.
/n /n /n Non-Functional Requirements (core to this role) /n /n
- Demonstrable ownership of security (secure-by-design, OWASP, IAM concepts), performance & scalability, accessibility (WCAG), and analytics/observability.
/n /n /n Good-to-Have (Advantageous) /n /n
- Breadth across multiple front-end frameworks and/or back-end languages.
/n
- Additional CMS platforms beyond the primary (e.g., AEM and Sitecore/Optimizely/Drupal).
/n
- Deep integration-platform experience: MuleSoft, Boomi, API Gateway products, enterprise service bus.
/n
- gRPC; advanced GraphQL federation.
/n
- Deep IAM / auth architecture: OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Zero Trust.
/n
- Experience applying GenAI / LLMs to content generation or engineering delivery (with governance / human-in-the-loop).
/n
- Second cloud, or multi-cloud / hybrid experience.
/n
- Broader datastore experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis).
/n /n /n Qualifications /n /n
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
/n
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices.
/n
- Client-facing consulting experience and the ability to lead geographically distributed teams.
/n /n /n Preferred Certifications (any of the following are a plus) /n /n
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert / AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
/n
- AEM, Sitecore, or equivalent CMS certification.
/n
- CKA / Kubernetes certification.
/n
- Scrum / Agile certifications.
/n /n /n Soft Skills /n /n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
/n
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making.
/n
- Ability to influence architecture direction across teams.
/n
- Strong mentoring and leadership.
/n /n /n Key Deliverables /n /n
- Enterprise architecture blueprints and solution design documents.
/n
- Technical roadmaps and CMS architecture strategy.
/n
- Integration and cloud architecture frameworks.
/n
- Security & governance standards.
/n
- Estimation models and performance-optimization recommendations.
