Telemarketing Specialist - Admission Advisor / Property Advisor
Location: Ahmedabad. In-office, full time. No WFH. Experience: 2–5 years Languages: Gujarati, Hindi and English — all three, fluently. This is not a nice-to-have.
About the role
Because runs the marketing for schools and real estate projects across Gujarat and India. That marketing produces leads — parents thinking about a school for their child, families thinking about buying a home.
Most of those leads die on the phone. Someone calls, reads a script, asks when they can visit, gets a "we'll think about it", and marks the lead cold. The parent had a real question and nobody answered it.
This role exists to fix that. You'll be the person on the call who actually knows the school or the project, understands what the family is trying to decide, and helps them decide it. Sometimes that means telling them this isn't the right fit for them. We're fine with that.
You'll be employed by Because, but on any given call you're speaking for our client. That's a responsibility, and it's also why we won't hand you a script.
What you'll actually do
- Call a new lead within minutes of it coming in. Speed is most of the job.
- Ask real questions. Which board are they coming from? Why are they moving their child? How far is the commute? What went wrong at the last school? For property — who's living in the home, what's the loan situation, what's the possession timeline they need.
- Know the client's product cold. Curriculum, pedagogy, fee structure, faculty, transport routes, results. Or carpet area versus built-up, RERA status, payment plan, amenities, what's actually getting built next door.
- Get the family to visit. That's the goal of the call — not to close, not to sell. A visit at the right time from the right family is worth more than ten reluctant ones.
- Follow up properly. WhatsApp, calls, reminders before the visit, a real conversation after it.
- Log everything cleanly in the CRM.
The next person to open that lead should know exactly where it stands.
- Work alongside AI. Junk leads get filtered by an AI voice call before they reach you, and WhatsApp nurture runs in parallel. You get the conversations worth having.
- Tell us when the marketing is wrong. You'll hear the objection fifty times before the ad team ever sees it in a dashboard. Say it.
What we're looking for
- 2–5 years talking to customers on the phone in something that required judgement — admissions, counselling, BFSI relationship roles, real estate sales, hospitality, healthcare front desk.
- You can hold a conversation without a script and still get to the point.
- Patience with people who are anxious, indecisive, or asking the same question a third time. Parents choosing a school and families buying a home are both spending big and scared of getting it wrong.
- Honesty under pressure. You won't oversell a school to a child it doesn't suit.
- Comfort with a CRM, WhatsApp Business, and picking up new tools quickly.
- Ex-teachers, ex-admission heads and ex-school coordinators are very welcome. So are people from outside marketing entirely.
What won't work here
- If you've only ever worked off a dialer and a script.
- If you count your day in number of calls made rather than conversations that went somewhere.
- If you'd say whatever it takes to get the visit booked.
- If you can't switch comfortably between Gujarati, Hindi and English mid-sentence, the way people here actually talk.
The honest part
School admission season runs October to April and it's intense. Parents are free on weekends and evenings, so some of your calls will be then. In return you get one weekday off and a team that doesn't measure you by dials.
How to apply
Send your CV, plus a voice note — two minutes, in whichever language you're most comfortable. Take this objection and answer it out loud:
"Your fees are almost double the school my daughter is in right now. What exactly am I paying for?"
We'll judge you on the voice note more than the CV.
