About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our design team and develop innovative, commercially viable textile designs for curtains, drapes, sheers, upholstery, cushions, and other home-furnishing products.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of textile design, colours, prints, patterns, fabrics, and current interior décor trends, with the ability to convert concepts into production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new and creative designs for curtains, drapes, sheers and other home-furnishing textiles.
- Create original prints, patterns, motifs, textures and design concepts.
- Develop seasonal and trend-based collections based on market requirements.
- Prepare repeat patterns, colourways and design variations.
- Select and coordinate suitable colours, fabrics, textures and finishes for different collections.
- Work on digital textile prints, embroidery designs, jacquards and other surface-design techniques, as required.
- Create design presentations, mood boards, colour boards and collection concepts.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet quality standards.
- Prepare artwork and files according to production and printing requirements.
- Develop samples and review them for colour, scale, placement, texture and overall appearance.
- Modify designs based on sampling, production feedback and market requirements.
- Research current trends in interior décor, curtains, fabrics, colours and international textile collections.
- Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, production and sales teams.
- Maintain organized records of designs, colourways, artwork and sample developments.
- Ensure designs are commercially relevant while maintaining the company's design identity.

Required Skills
- Must have 1-3 years of experience in textile designing.




- Robust understanding of textile design, surface design, prints and patterns.
- Good knowledge of fabric types, textures, weaves and printing techniques.
- Excellent understanding of colour combinations and colour forecasting.
- Ability to create attractive and commercially viable curtain collections.
- Strong knowledge of repeat patterns and pattern development.
- Good sense of proportion, scale and design placement.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple collections and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have computer knowledge
- Understanding of current home décor and interior design trends.

Software Skills

Knowledge in one or more of the following in an advantage:

- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- CorelDRAW
- CAD / textile-design software
- Any other relevant textile or graphic-design software

Knowledge of digital printing, colour separation and production-ready artwork will be an added advantage.

Education:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Candidates with relevant practical experience in home furnishings, curtains, fabrics, upholstery or textile manufacturing may also be considered.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
