Job Summary

Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Sahaswan is looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced TGT – Biology & Chemistry to join our Science Department. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, concept-based and CBSE-aligned teaching, with a strong focus on scientific thinking, practical learning, academic excellence and overall student development.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Biology and Chemistry as per the CBSE/NCERT curriculum.
- Teach Science effectively to students of Classes VI–X, with a strong focus on Classes IX–X.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking, scientific aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Use innovative, activity-based, experiential and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
- Conduct and supervise Biology and Chemistry practicals, experiments, demonstrations and laboratory activities while ensuring safety protocols.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and other academic resources.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to improve student learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate academic records, student performance data and assessment documentation.
- Prepare students effectively for CBSE examinations and school-level assessments.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate academic support and enrichment.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
- Integrate real-life applications, environmental awareness, health, sustainability and scientific developments into teaching wherever appropriate.




- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and development.
- Participate actively in PTMs, staff meetings, workshops, training programmes and school events.
- Contribute to Science exhibitions, projects, clubs, Olympiads and other co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with the Science Department and academic team to achieve school learning objectives.
- Maintain professional conduct and actively contribute to the school's academic culture and values.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Science with Biology/Life Sciences and Chemistry as relevant subjects.
- B.Ed. from a recognised university/institution is mandatory.
- Candidates should fulfil applicable CBSE/NCTE eligibility requirements.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE/NCERT curriculum for Classes VI–X.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Basic proficiency in computers and digital teaching tools.

Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE school preferred.
- Experience teaching Classes IX–X will be an added advantage.
- Experience in conducting Science practicals, exhibitions, projects and academic activities will be preferred.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge, communication skills and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
