Position: Theatre Teacher / Performing Arts Teacher

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct engaging Theatre and Drama classes for students across different age groups.
- Introduce students to the fundamentals of theatre, including acting, voice modulation, body language, expressions, improvisation and stage presence.
- Develop students’ confidence, creativity, communication and public-speaking skills through theatre activities.
- Conduct role plays, storytelling, improvisation, mime, monologues and group performances.
- Prepare students for school plays, annual functions, assemblies, competitions and cultural events.
- Select, adapt and develop age-appropriate scripts for student performances.
- Train students in dialogue delivery, character development, stage movement and performance techniques.
- Encourage students to express themselves creatively while developing teamwork and collaboration.
- Introduce students to basic aspects of stagecraft, props, costumes, set design, lighting and backstage management.
- Organize rehearsals and coordinate performances from planning through execution.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and disciplined learning workplace during classes and rehearsals.
- Identify individual strengths and help students develop their confidence and performance abilities.
- Assess students based on participation, creativity, performance, teamwork and skill development.
- Collaborate with teachers and the academic team for interdisciplinary projects and theme-based performances.
- Coordinate with school management for theatre productions, events and competitions.
- Maintain lesson plans,



activity records and other required academic documentation.
- Ensure appropriate safety and supervision during rehearsals and stage activities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Theatre, Performing Arts, Drama, Fine Arts or a related field.
- Diploma/Certificate in Theatre, Acting or Performing Arts will be an added advantage.
- B.Ed. / teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience as a Theatre/Drama Teacher, Theatre Artist, Performing Arts Facilitator or Acting Coach preferred.
- Strong knowledge of theatre techniques and performance methodologies.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to work confidently with children and young learners.
- Strong organizational and rehearsal-management skills.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a creative, energetic and passionate theatre professional who can inspire students to express themselves confidently through drama and performance. The candidate should be comfortable conducting classes as well as managing rehearsals and live performances, while creating a fun, disciplined and supportive environment for young learners.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working in a school environment will be preferred.
- Experience directing or coordinating school plays, annual-day productions, theatre competitions or stage performances will be an advantage.
- Candidates with professional theatre experience and strong performance skills are encouraged to apply.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
