Role Description The Tool & Die Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Day-to-day responsibilities include machining precision components, setting up and operating conventional and CNC machines, and ensuring dies and tools meet quality and safety standards.

The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting tooling issues on production lines, performing preventive maintenance, and optimizing tool performance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. The Tool & Die Specialist will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams, participate in continuous improvement initiatives,



and provide guidance and training on tool handling and best practices. Accurate documentation of work performed, adherence to safety protocols, and timely completion of assigned projects are integral to this position.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong machining skills, including experience with conventional and CNC machines, precision measurement, and tool and die fabrication.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving tooling, die, and equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates should possess communication and training skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide operators or junior staff on safe and effective tool usage.
- Candidates should possess project management skills to plan, prioritize, and complete tooling projects, maintenance tasks, and improvements within defined timelines.
- Diploma or certification in Tool & Die making, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing or heavy industrial manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and basic CAD/CAM tools is an advantage.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced production setting.
