Position: UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities: NIST University is seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and enhancing user interfaces and user experiences for our digital platforms, ensuring they are user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and effective in achieving our educational objectives.

This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive, engaging, and interactive designs. The candidate is expected to have following job responsibility:

1. UI/UX Design:

- Design low and high-fidelity mockup screens as per usability guidelines ensuring UI consistency throughout the applications.
- ·Creation of key UX artifacts such as conceptual maps, storyboards, prototypes, patterns, IA, workflows and design specifications.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- UX/UI design in support of PC/laptop, mobile/tablet screen layout and different resolution
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Must be skilled and experienced with tools like Adobe XD (must), Photoshop,



Illustrator, InDesign, and associated design tool
- Understanding of common software development practices and ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps by ensuring a safe and efficient user experience.
- Ensure the implementation of design specifications by providing detailed design documents and supporting the development process.

2. Graphic Design:

- Design high-quality graphics, icons, and images for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms.
- Develop visual content for digital learning materials, Banner designs, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure all graphic designs adhere to the institute's branding guidelines and enhance the visual appeal of educational content.

Qualification and Experience: The candidate preferably be with engineering or related background with broad experience and knowledge UI/UX and Graphics Design.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Design, or a related field, with a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in UI/UX design, preferably in an educational, technology, or digital product environment.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent design tools.




- Strong understanding of user-centred design, responsive design, wireframing, prototyping, usability, information architecture, and design systems.
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing web, mobile, and digital interface designs.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, with an understanding of how designs are translated into functional web interfaces.
- Familiarity with design-to-development workflows, agile methodologies, and collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving ability, and a user-focused approach to design.
- Must be a passionate learner, adaptable, proactive, and a strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
