Company Description Akalan AI is building the training infrastructure for AI-led hiring by turning interview preparation into realistic, high-pressure simulations. The platform works like a flight simulator for interviews, allowing candidates to practice real-world scenarios, receive detailed performance analysis, and continuously improve. Akalan serves individual candidates as well as universities, bootcamps, and talent teams by offering scalable interview simulations without requiring a human interviewer for every session.

Role Description The UI/UX Intern will support the design and improvement of Akalan AI’s web and product interfaces to create intuitive, engaging experiences for candidates and institutional partners. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with user research, creating wireframes and mockups, contributing to visual design assets, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to refine user flows. The intern will also help with interactive prototypes, gather feedback from users and stakeholders,



and iterate on designs to enhance usability and accessibility.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ghaziabad, requiring close collaboration with the local team.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in User Experience Design (UED), including understanding of user flows, information architecture, and usability principles.
- Ability to create clear mockups and wireframes, transforming ideas and requirements into structured interface concepts.
- Visual Design skills to produce clean, consistent, and modern UI elements aligned with brand guidelines.
- Experience or familiarity with Prototyping tools and methods to build interactive prototypes for testing and feedback.
- Basic Front-End Development knowledge (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus for collaborating with engineers and understanding implementation constraints.
- Comfort with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
- Robust communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a user-centered mindset.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
