Unity Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Unity Developer to join our game development team and build immersive, interactive 3D mystery and puzzle experiences.
You will be responsible for implementing gameplay systems, player interactions, puzzles, environments, UI, and other core game mechanics in Unity. You will work closely with game designers, 3D artists, and other developers to turn game concepts into polished, playable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D games and interactive experiences using Unity.
- Implement player movement, camera systems, interactions, exploration, and environmental mechanics.
- Build puzzle and mystery gameplay systems, including clues, locks, keys, triggers, inventory, and progression mechanics.
- Create reusable and scalable gameplay systems using C#.
- Integrate 3D assets, animations, audio, VFX, lighting, and other game content into Unity.
- Implement UI systems such as menus, objectives, inventory, dialogue, hints, and puzzle interfaces.
- Work closely with designers to prototype and iterate on gameplay mechanics.
- Optimize game performance, memory usage, loading times, and frame rates.
- Debug and resolve gameplay, performance, and technical issues.
- Integrate third-party Unity packages, SDKs, plugins, and services when required.
- Implement save/load systems, checkpoints, and game progression.
- Collaborate with artists and designers to ensure gameplay and visual elements work effectively together.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
- Test builds, identify bugs,
and ensure features are production-ready.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of skilled experience with Unity.
- Strong proficiency in C#.
- Strong understanding of Unity's:
- GameObjects and Components
- Prefabs
- Physics
- Animation systems
- UI
- Lighting
- Scene management
- Particle and VFX systems
- Audio
- Experience developing 3D games.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and gameplay architecture.
- Experience implementing player interaction systems.
- Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned features.
Good to Have
- Experience developing puzzle, mystery, horror, adventure, or escape-room games.
- Experience with first-person or third-person controllers.
- Experience with URP/HDRP.
- Experience with Unity Addressables.
- Experience with multiplayer/networked gameplay.
- Experience with procedural systems or AI.
- Experience integrating APIs, analytics, cloud services, or backend systems.
- Familiarity with Blender or other 3D tools.
- Experience publishing games for PC, mobile, console, or WebGL.
- Understanding of optimization for mid-range hardware.

Education A degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong practical Unity experience and a good portfolio can substitute for formal education.
Portfolio Requirement
Candidates should provide a portfolio, GitHub profile, demo reel, or playable builds demonstrating their Unity development experience.
Experience with a completed 3D game or interactive Unity project will be highly valued.
Compensation
Competitive salary based on experience and skill level.
Pay: From ₹400,000.00 per year
