Job Summary

NB Entrepreneurs is looking for an experienced Utility In-Charge – Mechanical to manage, maintain, and ensure the reliable operation of utility and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in utility operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of utility equipment and mechanical systems.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of utilities such as boilers, compressors, pumps, HVAC/chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, water systems, and other related equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures to minimize downtime.
- Maintain utility equipment records, maintenance schedules, checklists, and operating logs.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, safety, and other departments for uninterrupted plant operations.
- Supervise technicians, operators, and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for servicing, repairs, and AMC activities.
- Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy and cost optimization.




- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support statutory inspections, audits, and documentation related to utility systems.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in utility areas.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of mechanical utility systems and industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage maintenance teams and contractors.
- Knowledge of utility safety procedures and industrial maintenance practices.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns.

Experience & Qualification
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical utilities/maintenance.
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in utility equipment and mechanical maintenance are encouraged to apply.
