Position: Vendor Development/Procurement

Experience: 5-15 Years

Educational Qualification: B.Tech (Mech)

Key Responsibilities:

- Supplier Development & Knowledge in Mfg, Should be expert in developing components in Machine tools/Auto / Fabrication areas.
- Should have valuable knowledge on Casting, Forging Components,

fabricated parts, machined components, sheet metal parts, fasteners,

bearings, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatic items.

- Experience in manufacturing/automotive industry, quality evaluation of suppliers, quality development of supply chain management, working in SAP information system is an advantage.
- Develop new vendors and qualify alternate sources for critical components.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.




- Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material availability.
- Resolve supply issues and expedite delayed deliveries.

Preferred Knowledge:

- Manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting,

forging, sheet metal, heat treatment, and surface coating.

- Technical drawing interpretation and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of Incoterms, GST, and commercial procurement practices.
- Exposure to ISO quality systems and supplier audits.
