We are seeking an experienced Lead Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Platform technologies, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Power BI, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions leveraging Azure's modern data stack.

The role requires hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, SQL, Spark, and Power BI along with strong client-facing and team leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Data Engineering

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration solutions from multiple data sources and formats.
- Build and optimize enterprise data platforms on Azure.
- Support hybrid cloud and on-premise to cloud data integration scenarios.

Data Warehousing & Analytics
- Design and implement Data Warehouse solutions using Azure SQL Data Warehouse/Synapse Analytics.
- Develop dimensional models and enterprise reporting data structures.
- Optimize SQL, T-SQL, and Spark SQL workloads for performance and scalability.
- Implement data governance, security, and access control standards.

Azure Platform Services
- Work with:
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)

- Azure Blob Storage

- Azure Synapse Analytics

- Implement RBAC, Managed Identity, and security best practices.

Power BI & Reporting
- Develop Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards.
- Build advanced DAX calculations and tabular models.

- KPI Dashboards
- Optimize Power BI performance and reporting solutions.

DevOps & Quality Engineering
- Manage source control using Azure Repos and Git.
- Work with Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Support unit testing, functional testing, and release management activities.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead medium-sized data engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.
- Manage customer communication and project delivery activities.
- Work in global and multi-site delivery models.
