Key Responsibilities Ward In-Charge

- Manage and supervise day-to-day nursing activities in the ward.

- Ensure proper patient care and adherence to nursing protocols.

- Allocate duties and monitor the performance of nursing staff.

- Coordinate with doctors and other departments for patient care requirements.

- Monitor medication administration, treatment plans, and patient documentation.

- Ensure proper handover and takeover of patients and ward responsibilities.

- Maintain nursing records, registers, and other required documentation.

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.

- Handle patient and attendant concerns professionally.

- Monitor availability and proper use of medicines, equipment, and other ward resources.

- Support staff training, orientation, and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities – Staff Nurse

- Provide quality nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols.





- Monitor vital signs and patient condition and report abnormalities promptly.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor.

- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.

- Assist doctors during procedures and clinical activities.

- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.

- Provide proper patient and attendant education regarding care and treatment.

- Ensure timely handover of patient information during shift changes.

- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the ward.
