Ward Manager – Non-Clinical

Malar Hospital, Hosur is looking for a responsible and organized Ward Manager to oversee the day-to-day non-clinical operations of the ward and ensure smooth coordination between patients, attendants, hospital staff and support departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day non-clinical activities of the ward.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the ward and proper coordination with concerned departments.
- Monitor ward cleanliness, housekeeping and overall environment.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, stores and other support teams as required.
- Attend to patient and attendant requirements and coordinate with the concerned department for resolution.
- Monitor availability of ward requirements, supplies, linen and other essential items.
- Ensure proper room/bed readiness and coordination for admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Maintain proper records, registers and ward-related documentation.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline and duty allocation within the ward.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other hospital teams for smooth day-to-day operations.
- Identify and report ward-related issues to the concerned authority.
- Follow up on complaints, maintenance issues and other operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures and safety standards.




- Support the hospital administration in maintaining a professional and patient-friendly environment.
- Perform regular ward rounds and ensure that all non-clinical requirements are properly attended to.

Qualifications
- Any Bachelor's Degree / Diploma.
- Hospital administration or healthcare management qualification will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in hospital administration, ward coordination or healthcare operations preferred.

Experience 2–5 years of relevant experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.

Skills Required

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coordination and team-management abilities.
- Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle patients, attendants and staff professionally.
- Good knowledge of basic hospital operations.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
