About the Role

VNCGIPL is building a diversified business group with multiple subsidiaries, brands and future ventures across technology, travel, skilled advisory, aviation, hospitality and other emerging sectors.

We are looking for a Trademark Attorney who can take ownership of the Group’s trademark and brand-protection function—from trademark searches and filings to prosecution, renewals, oppositions, enforcement and portfolio management .

The role will involve working closely with the Founder, Legal team, management and individual subsidiaries to ensure that the Group’s names, brands, logos and other trademark assets are properly protected in India and, where required, internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Trademark & IP Portfolio

- Manage the Group-wide trademark portfolio.
- Conduct trademark availability and clearance searches.
- Advise on registrability, classification and filing strategy.
- Handle trademark applications and prosecution.
- Manage examination reports, objections and hearings.
- Monitor trademark application and registration status.
- Handle renewals, amendments, assignments and related filings.
- Maintain a centralized trademark/IP database.

Brand Protection

- Protect VNCGIPL, subsidiary and venture names, logos, taglines and other brand assets.
- Identify potential conflicts and infringement risks.
- Conduct trademark watch and monitoring.
- Advise management before launching new brands, products or services.
- Support enforcement against unauthorized use of Group trademarks.

Legal Proceedings

- Handle or coordinate trademark oppositions, rectifications and cancellations.




- Prepare responses to objections and legal notices.
- Coordinate infringement and passing-off matters with external counsel where required.
- Support litigation strategy relating to trademark disputes.

International IP

- Advise on international trademark protection and filing strategies.
- Coordinate Madrid Protocol and/or jurisdiction-specific filings where appropriate.
- Support international brand expansion and trademark due diligence.

Corporate & Commercial Support

- Review trademark clauses in agreements.
- Assist with IP assignments, licensing and franchising arrangements.
- Support M&A;, investments and corporate transactions involving IP due diligence.
- Coordinate with Company Secretarial, Corporate Legal, Marketing and Business teams.

Ideal Candidate

- Qualified Trademark Attorney / IP Lawyer / Advocate with strong trademark experience.
- Experience handling trademark prosecution before the Indian Trade Marks Registry .
- Strong understanding of Indian trademark law and procedure.
- Experience with trademark searches, filings, examination reports, oppositions and hearings.
- Knowledge of Trade Marks Act, 1999 and related rules.
- Exposure to copyright, designs, domain names and broader IP is an advantage.




- International trademark experience is preferred.
- Strong drafting, research and legal-analysis skills.
- Commercially minded and capable of working directly with business teams.
- Strong documentation and portfolio-management discipline.
