Job Overview The WTP Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating daily plant activities, monitoring treatment processes, guiding operators and technicians, and supporting the maintenance of plant equipment. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge, team management skills, and a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations

- Supervise daily operations of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), or Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
- Monitor treatment processes, water flow, chemical dosing, filtration, and other operating parameters.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate corrective actions to maintain smooth plant performance.
- Ensure plant operations are carried out according to approved procedures and client requirements.

1. Team Supervision

- Guide and supervise plant operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Allocate daily work and coordinate shift activities based on operational requirements.
- Monitor attendance, work quality, discipline, and adherence to site procedures.
- Train team members on equipment handling, operating procedures, and workplace safety.

1. Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor the condition and performance of pumps, valves, blowers, agitators, electrical panels, and related equipment.
- Identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams or service vendors for repairs.
- Assist in planning spare parts, chemicals, and other operational requirements.

1. Water Quality Monitoring

- Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, and other relevant testing requirements.
- Coordinate routine water sampling and testing as per plant operating procedures.




- Ensure treatment performance is monitored against client specifications and applicable environmental requirements.
- Maintain proper chemical handling and storage practices.

1. Safety and Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements.
- Promote the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify unsafe conditions and report operational or safety concerns to the concerned manager.
- Support safe handling of chemicals, machinery, and electrical equipment.

1. Documentation and MIS Reporting

- Maintain daily plant operation logbooks and shift handover records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports.
- Monitor chemical consumption, power usage, water consumption, and equipment performance.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inventory, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with management regarding plant performance, manpower, and material requirements.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in water treatment plant operations, maintenance, or site supervision.
- Experience in WTP, STP, or ETP operations will be preferred.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of water treatment processes and basic water chemistry.
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, blowers, agitators, filtration systems, and electrical equipment.
- Understanding of PLC/SCADA systems and plant monitoring is preferred.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance records.
- Basic knowledge of water quality testing and chemical dosing.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
