Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Business Head to lead the business growth and revenue strategy for a growing group of CBSE schools. The incumbent will be responsible for driving student admissions, revenue growth, brand positioning, market expansion, new school development, business partnerships, and overall commercial performance across the group.

The role requires a strategic leader who can translate the organisation's vision into measurable business outcomes while working closely with the CEO, Promoters, Principals, Academic Leadership, Admissions, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Strategy & Growth

- Develop and execute the overall business growth strategy for the group of CBSE schools.
- Identify current revenue opportunities, growth markets, and business expansion opportunities.
- Prepare annual and long-term business plans aligned with organisational objectives.
- Drive school-wise business targets, growth plans, and performance metrics.
- Analyse market trends, competitor positioning, fee structures, demographics, and emerging education opportunities.
- Develop strategies to improve enrolment, revenue, profitability, and market share.

2. Admissions & Revenue Growth
- Own the group-level admissions strategy and enrolment targets.
- Develop and implement strategies for new admissions, retention, re-enrolment, and student conversion.
- Monitor the complete admissions funnel—from enquiry and counselling to campus visits, applications, conversions, and joining.
- Establish school-wise admission targets and review performance against defined KPIs.
- Work with Admissions teams to improve lead conversion and reduce admission drop-offs.
- Develop strategies for fee realisation, revenue optimisation, and sustainable enrolment growth.

3. Marketing & Brand Development
- Lead the overall business-oriented marketing strategy in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Strengthen the positioning and visibility of the school group across existing and emerging markets.
- Guide digital marketing, performance marketing, local marketing, events, campaigns, outreach, and brand initiatives.
- Ensure marketing spends are aligned with measurable lead generation and admission outcomes.
- Monitor ROI of marketing campaigns and optimise investments accordingly.
- Develop differentiated positioning for individual schools based on their location, curriculum, strengths, and competitive landscape.

4. Market Expansion & New School Development
- Identify and evaluate new locations and markets for school expansion.
- Conduct market feasibility studies covering demographics, competition, fee potential, catchment area,



infrastructure, and enrolment potential.
- Prepare business cases and financial projections for recent schools and expansion projects.
- Support the Promoters/CEO in evaluating potential acquisitions, partnerships, management contracts, franchise opportunities, and recent school projects.
- Lead commercial aspects of new school launches from market assessment through enrolment ramp-up.

5. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Build relationships with education organisations, corporates, institutions, consultants, community organisations, and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities for institutional tie-ups, collaborations, outreach programs, and strategic alliances.
- Develop partnerships that strengthen admissions, brand visibility, academic offerings, and business growth.
- Represent the organisation in relevant education and business forums.

6. School-Wise Business Performance
- Establish business KPIs for each school covering:
- Admissions
- Enrolment
- Revenue
- Fee realisation
- Lead generation
- Conversion ratio
- Student retention
- Marketing ROI
- Capacity utilisation
- Conduct regular reviews with Principals and functional heads.
- Identify underperforming schools and develop corrective action plans.
- Drive accountability for business targets while maintaining alignment with academic and institutional standards.

7. Financial & Commercial Management
- Work closely with the Finance team on budgets, revenue projections, profitability, and business planning.
- Develop annual revenue forecasts and admission-linked financial projections.
- Monitor school-wise commercial performance against budgets.
- Evaluate pricing, fee structures, discounts, scholarships, and promotional strategies from a business perspective.
- Ensure commercial decisions are aligned with profitability and long-term institutional sustainability.

8. Customer & Parent Engagement
- Develop strategies to strengthen the parent experience throughout the admission and enrolment journey.
- Analyse parent feedback, market perception, and reasons for student attrition.
- Support schools in developing strong parent engagement and referral mechanisms.
- Build strategies for improving student retention and parent advocacy.

9. Data, Analytics & MIS




- Establish a robust business MIS and dashboard for the management.
- Track and analyse admission, revenue, marketing, and school-performance data.
- Present periodic business reviews to the CEO/Promoters/Board.
- Use data-driven insights to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Establish clear dashboards for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business performance.

10. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the Admissions, Business Development, Marketing, and related commercial teams.
- Define KRAs, KPIs, targets, review mechanisms, and performance standards.
- Build a high-performance, target-oriented culture.
- Develop strong collaboration between Corporate Office and individual school teams.
- Coach Principals and functional leaders on business growth and market-development strategies where required.

Desired Candidate Profile
- 15 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, marketing, admissions, strategy, or commercial leadership.
- Experience in the K-12 education sector / school groups / education networks will be strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing multi-location operations or a portfolio of institutions.
- Strong understanding of the Indian K-12 education market and CBSE school ecosystem.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving admission, revenue, and business-growth targets.
- Experience in recent market development, school expansion, partnerships, or institutional business development.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial and business data.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across school locations.

Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Education Management, or a related discipline from a reputed institution.
- MBA/PGDM will be preferred.

Preferred Leadership Competencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
