Sr. Engineer – Process Engineering

Roles & Responsibilities

DFM / DFA : Conduct DFM/DFA review for SMT, THT and assembly; identify manufacturability risks; optimize PCB panelization, component placement, solderability and assembly sequence.Process Development: Develop complete PCBA process flow from material input to final inspection; establish process parameters and control plans for SMT, THT, soldering, cleaning, coating and testing.SMT Process Setup: Develop stencil design requirements, solder paste printing parameters, SPI limits, pick-and-place setup, feeder allocation and reflow profiles.THT / Wave Process: Develop wave soldering parameters, flux/preheat conditions, pallet requirements, selective/manual soldering processes and PTH soldering controls.Tooling & Fixture Development: Define requirements for SMT support tooling, wave/selective solder pallets, assembly fixtures, inspection fixtures, test fixtures and poka-yoke devices. Coordinate tooling design, fabrication and validation.Process Validation: Conduct DOE, process trials, capability studies, MSA where required, and establish optimum process windows.

Target

Cp/Cpk requirements as per customer/internal standards.Automotive Requirements: Ensure processes comply with applicable IATF 16949,



customer-specific requirements, IPC standards and internal QMS requirements.Pilot Run / Trial Build: Lead pilot builds, record abnormalities, analyse defects, implement corrective actions and obtain process approval for production release.Process Capability: Monitor critical parameters through SPC and capability studies. Establish appropriate Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk and control limits for critical characteristics.Defect Reduction: Analyse SMT/THT/process defects using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, DOE and other RCA methods. Implement permanent corrective/preventive actions.Customer Support: Support customer audits, NPI reviews, engineering changes, technical queries, process capability reports and customer-specific requirements.Documentation: Maintain process specifications, machine programs, tooling records, validation reports, SOP/WI, PFMEA, Control Plan, process parameters and lessons learned.Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity, yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, scrap reduction and cost reduction projects.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
