Company Description Test 2 Build Private Limited is a NABL-accredited laboratory specializing in civil material testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and geotechnical investigation. The company also conducts a variety of field tests, including plate load, pile load, pile integrity, and sand replacement tests.

In addition, Test 2 Build performs strand relaxation tests for both 100-hour and 1000-hour durations, supporting quality and durability assessments in construction projects. The organization focuses on reliable testing services that help clients ensure structural safety, compliance with standards, and long-term performance of civil infrastructure.

Role Description This is a full-time, in office Junior Engineer – Field role based in Chennai.

The Junior

Engineer – Field will assist in planning and executing field tests such as plate load, pile load, pile integrity, and sand replacement tests under the guidance of senior engineers. The role includes supervising test setups, operating relevant instruments, recording measurements accurately, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures. The engineer will coordinate with laboratory teams for sample collection, support geotechnical investigations,



and prepare basic reports and documentation of test findings. The position also involves regular site visits, interaction with clients’ project teams, and continuous learning of testing standards and methodologies.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, particularly in geotechnical engineering and construction materials.
- Ability to carry out field testing activities (e.g., plate load, pile load, pile integrity, sand replacement) with attention to safety and quality.
- Basic skills in data collection, measurement recording, and preparation of technical notes or test summaries.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for civil material testing and NDT is an advantage.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Willingness to work on-site at various project locations in and around Chennai and adapt to field conditions.
- Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn advanced testing techniques and equipment operation.
