Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team for a prestigious residential construction project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of residential buildings, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed safely, on time, and within budget. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the engineering team, collaborating with contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Planning and Design:
- Lead the design and planning phase of residential construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, local regulations, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Review architectural and structural plans and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
- Site Supervision and Construction Management:
- Supervise day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring construction activities are carried out as per approved designs and within set timelines.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and resolve any engineering issues that arise during construction, proposing solutions that ensure project continuity and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance and Safety:




- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards, monitoring construction progress and reviewing the quality of work at all stages.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks or potential delays, and take corrective actions to avoid or mitigate issues.
- Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure materials used meet project requirements and standards.
- Project Management and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments for management and stakeholders.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control activities, including the preparation of estimates, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones by maintaining tight control over schedules and resources.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Work closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with client expectations.
- Facilitate communication between various departments and external partners, ensuring transparency and project success.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification:




- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering construction projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other civil engineering design software.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, site work, structural analysis, and geotechnical principles.
- Experience with surveying equipment and techniques.

- Core Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
