About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Developer to join our energetic team at Shriram General Insurance Co. Ltd. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that underpin our core business applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MySQL architecture, proficiency in SQL programming, and a keen eye for performance optimization. As a MySQL Developer, you will be responsible for creating efficient database structures, writing optimized queries, and ensuring the integrity and security of our data assets. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability, scalability, and security of our data systems, supporting our mission to deliver superior insurance services to our customers.

Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in MySQL database architecture, administration, and query optimization is essential. Candidates should have experience in developing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views,



along with a solid understanding of database design principles such as normalization and indexing.

Familiarity with backup and recovery processes, performance monitoring, and data security practices is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital to succeed in this role. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and experience working within Agile or Scrum environments will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases and associated database objects to support business applications.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

- Collaborate with software development and application teams to facilitate seamless database integration and deployment.
- Support database migration, upgrade, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation detailing database structures, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
